Difference between pre facelift and facelift interior

I'm not sure if it's true but i'm told that if you wanted to fit the facelift shorter shifter, its not a straight swap?

I'm also told that it's not just the shifter, there are some other little things.

The gear linkages are also different for a smoother gear change.

Would like to drive a prefacelift and a facelift to compare.

when i was looing to buy a celica before i bought mine, there was one where someone had simply shortened the top of the shifter with an angle grinder

gear change was aweful and was hard to get into gear!

That's what people used to do back in the day

So which model celica had the option of leather? I mostly see them in convertibles

At least the T18, T20, T23

Some ZZT23X's had it as an option aswell. If you mean models as in GT4, etc, i'm not too sure, over here in new zealand, i have only ever seen 1 non convertible with leather, think it was a GT4, possibly a GT4A. Most i see them in are verts.

Lumbar must have been an option, because both of my facelifts have it.

And one of my old ST185s had grey leather, was pretty shit condition tho. Not sure what happened to it because it got stripped and turned into a rally car.
